Images downloaded from Leonardo AI arrive with provenance metadata embedded by the platform. Depending on the model and the export type, the file can carry XMP/EXIF blocks with origin data and, in some flows, C2PA credentials that mark it as AI-generated content.

What trail Leonardo AI leaves

The typical trail lives in the metadata: XMP/EXIF fields with export or authorship information and, in some cases, a C2PA provenance manifest. We do not assume a fixed field name, because it depends on the flow; that is what the checker is for. It shows the real contents of your file.

How to clean it

1. Upload the image to the checker to see which metadata and credentials it carries. 2. Clean with /exif, /xmp and /c2pa as needed. 3. Download the file. No recompression: the pixels stay identical.

What we do not promise

We remove metadata and credentials from the file. We do not control records Leonardo may keep on its service, and we do not remove any possible pixel-level mark (we do not touch the pixels). It is an honest metadata clean, not a guarantee that the image is undetectable.

Privacy

The image is uploaded to our server, processed and deleted after 5 minutes. It is not used for training, we add no watermark, no account is required and the service is free.
