What Canva usually embeds
Canva adds export metadata (software, date, sometimes authorship) in XMP/EXIF blocks, and in AI flows it can add “generated with AI” indicators or a C2PA manifest. Because Canva uses different engines underneath, the exact contents vary; that is why we do not claim a fixed field. The checker shows what your particular download actually carries.
How to clean it
1. Upload the image to the checker to see EXIF, XMP and possible C2PA. 2. Clean with /exif, /xmp and /c2pa according to what appears. 3. Download the file. No recompression: the pixels stay intact.
Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and HEIC.
What we do not promise
We remove the file’s metadata and credentials. We do not control what Canva may log on its service, and we do not remove any possible pixel-level mark (our work does not touch the pixels). It is a real metadata clean, not a guarantee of undetectability.
Privacy
The image is uploaded to our server, processed and deleted after 5 minutes. It is not used for training, we add no watermark, no account is required and the service is free.
