What trail Grok leaves
Grok’s labeling behavior can change over time and depending on how you download the image, so we prefer to speak in general terms: the trail is usually in the file metadata (XMP/EXIF) and, when the flow includes it, in a C2PA provenance credential. To avoid inventing fields, the checker shows exactly what your image contains before anything is deleted.
How to clean it
1. Upload the image to the checker to see which metadata and credentials it carries. 2. Clean with /exif, /xmp and /c2pa according to what appears. 3. Download the file. No recompression: the pixels stay identical.
Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and HEIC.
What we do not promise
We remove metadata and credentials from the file. We do not remove any possible pixel-level mark (we do not touch the pixels) and we do not control what xAI may log on its platform. It is a real metadata clean, not a guarantee of undetectability.
Privacy
The image is uploaded to our server, processed and deleted after 5 minutes. It is not used for training, we add no watermark, no account is required and the service is free.
