What the checker looks at

C2PA / JUMBF: provenance credentials (Content Credentials) read by Instagram, Facebook and other platforms.
XMP: where Midjourney, DALL·E, Firefly or Stable Diffusion usually mark the source.
EXIF / GPS: camera, date, device and location.
IPTC: attribution and credits (including Adobe’s AI attribution).
PNG text chunks: the prompt and parameters from Stable Diffusion/ComfyUI.

The checker does not upload changes: it only reads and shows you what is there.
