Ideogram stands out for how it handles text inside images, and like any cloud generator it exports files with embedded provenance metadata. Depending on the flow, you may find XMP/EXIF blocks with origin data and, in some cases, C2PA credentials that mark the file as AI-generated.

Ideogram’s trail

The characteristic trail is in the file metadata: XMP/EXIF export fields and, in some flows, a C2PA provenance manifest. Because the exact detail varies with how you download the image, we speak in terms of C2PA/XMP/EXIF instead of inventing field names. The checker shows the real contents of your file.

How to clean it

1. Run the image through the checker to see which metadata and credentials it contains. 2. Apply /exif, /xmp and /c2pa as needed. 3. Download the result. No recompression: the pixels stay the same (verifiable by hash).

What we do not promise

We clean the file’s metadata and credentials. We do not remove any possible pixel-level mark (we do not touch the pixels) and we do not control records Ideogram may keep on its service. Removing metadata reduces the visible trail in the file, but it does not guarantee the image is undetectable.

Privacy

The image is uploaded to our server, processed and deleted after 5 minutes. It is not used for training, we add no watermark, no account is required and the service is free.
